This ‘all-hands-on-deck’ standing committee, is requesting from everyone in our community, serious and meaningful dedication of service to this, your Community Council.
Our understanding is that nothing in life is truly free but trouble. And because of this, the Council’s leadership has chosen not to solicit business, corporate or political support because our policy has always been to facilitate information sharing only. We intentionally strive to maintain open and respectful discussion without promoting animosity.
The 2019 Revised Bylaws, in ARTICLE V: Council Section 2, states that the number of Council numbers shall be nine (9). Currently, there is one unexpired term that is not filled. Annually, our financial support stems from ice cream sales at three local events;
- The Columbia Gorge Regional Airport (CGRA) Fly-In, normally in June.
- Show in the Shade at Sorosis Park in The Dalles, normally in August.
- The Dallesport Drags at CGRA, also normally in August.
Since 2019, we have been without an ice cream sales Operations Manager.
