Also, our Council discussions may emulate from any external forces effecting the lives of our residents and volunteers, or otherwise entities.

OUR PURPOSE:

Go to Documents, and refer to the Council Bylaws as revised October 10, 2019; Article II: Purpose.

NOTABLE QUOTE:

“This sacrifice of common sense is the certain badge which distinguishes slavery from freedom; for when men yield up the privilege of thinking, the last shadow of liberty quits the horizon

Thomas Paine, Reflections on Titles, 1775

MISSION STATEMENT:

We gather in the spirit of freedom, as compassionate and reasonable individuals determined to join together and agree to disagree. Our purpose is exclusively interested in discussing governance and other activities pertinent to our peninsula.

All interested individuals are welcome to attend our meetings provided your conduct is appropriate, respectful and non-destructive to the proceedings.

The Dallesport-Murdock Community Council conducts our meetings in a simplified but applicable, customary platform as exemplified by Robert’s Rules of Order.

NOTE: After the Pledge of Allegiance, and before Roll Call, the Mission Statement may be read aloud.
